Hosting a casino night party can get expensive in a hurry especially when you HAVE to buy a few props like a
Casino Custom Banner
and
Roulette Wheel
. However, luckily if you have a bit of time you can always make a few of your decorations yourself. Here are a few suggestions to make your own casino night decorations.

Casino Streamers
- You can create simple and cool looking casino streamers easily. Simply get a few papers of red and black construction paper. You then fold it up into many pieces and cut out a diamond or heart or spade or club. The idea being you are creating the equivalent of a winter time 'snowflake on paper' except using construction paper and card suits. The larger the piece of construction paper the more fold and the larger the streamer.

Table Felts
- Go to (or call) your nearest fabric store and ask if they have any green felt. For each game you will need a piece of felt the size of your table plus about 6" - 12" overhang. Using black (or red) electrical tape mark out the areas for cards for whichever game you are designing. This is a simple and effective method to create a realistic casino layout, however, if you're looking for something more professional ShindigZ.com - the World's Largest Party Superstore has a variety of felt layouts starting at

Casino Danglers
- The final decoration that looks good is casino danglers (in the image above). These are simply a miniature streamer, however, instead of making them 2-4" large you make them .5 - 1" wide and hang them from the ceiling downwards. They may bump into people's heads but that's fine.

These are a great way to decorate but if you don't have time then we suggest checking ShindigZ.com - the World's Largest Party Superstore as they have a large selection of casino party decorations at a reasonable price.

Casino Party Night - Setting Up The Room

Part of setting up your house or hall for a casino night party is setting up the room. Although this may seem like a trivial detail it can really help to get people to 'get in on the action'. Real casino's in Las Vegas have mastered the art of setting the room. They ensure that the slot machines are near the tables don't win too much or too little while keeping table games with with lots of noise close to other games that may not necessarily be as loud, etc... The Vegas Casinos know how it's done so take your room setting from the pros!

Obviously, setting up the room really depends on the size of the casino that you're having. If you're having a smaller party like a birthday party normally around 30-50 people, setting the room won't be that much of an issue as you really only have 2-6 games. Whereas, if you're setting the room for a graduation party (very popular nowadays I might add) setting the room might be more important.

Here are a few suggestions taken from observations at real Las Vegas casinos.

Place the blackjack and war tables near the roulette table. The craps table should be off to the side slightly but still close enough for people to hear the cheering. Craps is considered a 'group game' in a way because when one person wins everyone wins! Where as blackjack the players only win when the dealer busts.

Second, if you have a poker table it's best to put that game off to the side. Poker is a very attractive game at casinos and many people enjoy playing and watching and therein lies the problem. You see poker can actually drain the whole atmosphere of the party as lots of people take the game very seriously. When people take it seriously everyone gets quiet and even a bit stressed. It's much better to place this game off to the side to not kill the mood of the party.

Finally, if you're having non-gambling related games like karaoke or rock band have those games close enough to the action but not so close that people can't hear what's happening at the tables. You are trying to make this music the 'atmosphere' of the party and not the main event.

Hopefully these tips help you to set your casino party as having certain games more secluded then others can really help the atmosphere for the casino and entire party in general!

Casino favors are a normal part of most casino parties. It's quite interesting because at most parties party favors aren't included, however, for some reason at casino night parties party favors are normal. This could be due to the fact that the night is all about gambling and winning stuff similar to Vegas. Therefore, getting some sort of small parting gift is a usual part of the casino night evening.

Depending on the number of guests you have this can become quite expensive. So what is a good amount to spend on a casino party favor? The amount really depends on how much you are planning to spend, number of guests, etc... However, spending between $1-$10 is a good estimate where the average is probably around $3-4.

When buying your party favor that you can also buy something that will be useful for the casino evening. This includes poker chips or mint tins. You can then place the mint tins throughout the house and people can have a mint whenever they want with a larger pile at the door for when people are leaving. This allows the mints to be a decoration, useful item and party favor which is a great way to maximize your dollars!

Remember, simply using a little bit of creativity and ingenuity you can have a party favor that won't break the bank and will help decorate your casino!

Casino party invitations are a necessity at any casino night that you will be hosting. However, buying invitations and sending them out can be expensive. The more cost effective method is to create or make your own homemade casino party invitations.

There are many different ways to make invitations of all shapes, sizes and decorations. Here are few ideas that we think would make good invitations.

1) Stick with the casino theme by picking something that is relevant to a casino: Roulette wheel, blackjack, slot machines, etc...

2) Construction paper (for rigidity) to cut out whatever shape you are looking for. A roulette wheel round, blackjack would be square with Jack on one side and ace on the other, etc...

3) Print out the directions, instructions and details on another sheet of paper

4) Glue details from (3) to cut-out shape from (2).

And done. A simple and effective method to make casino party invitations. Obviously, we've created a simple version, however, you can make it as fancy or simple as you'd like. Remember that black, red, spades, diamonds, hearts and clubs are great on any casino party invitation! Casino Night Parties are a great party for any occasion be it Birthdays, New Years Eve or even corporate parties. At some parties you like to give party favors to your guests as either a parting gift, part of the decorations that they can take later or even as little prizes!

Your party favors are normally sort of 'goodie bag' where you can put the party favor, a few candies and maybe some fake money from the evening. The whole goodie bag should be relatively inexpensive with your party favor only costing a few dollars. You also want to ensure that your party favor is a good memory of the evening. You can buy lots of different party favors with a casino theme and personalized writing on the item.

A few items of suggestion are casino chip keytag, Vegas beer mug or Mint Tin. ShindigZ.com - the World's Largest Party Superstore has these casino party favors and more!

The second thing to take into consideration when buying your casino party favor is the purpose of the favor. You can buy a favor as a parting gift, part of the decorations, as a little prize or even as part of the casino games itself.

Parting Gift - If you're looking for a casino favor as a parting gift then the Mint Tin or a Casino Photo Album would be good ideas.

Part of the decorations - In this case you can consider
Personalized Poker Chips
.

As little prizes - Casino party keychains are perfect as they are a simple and useful souvenir for your guests.

Part of the casino game itself -
Flashing Dice
are a good gift as it will encourage them to play craps!

Whatever casino party favor you choose be sure that it's simple, relatively inexpensive and is personalized with something about your casino night on the item!

Casino Night Party Prizes

Casino party nights are always a fun time, however, the best casino nights are ones where you can win prizes! No, we're not talking about gambling for real money. The idea is that you simply give everyone the same amount of fake money at the start of the night. They get until whatever time (usually around 1am) to win as much as possible.

There are a few ways to give out prizes to your guests. Here are three ideas that we've found to work great at all the casino night parties we've attended.
ShindigZ.com $4 Flat Rate Shipping
Random Draw - You can put everyone's name into a hat and draw a random prize. This works great for those gamblers who've lost all their money!

Loser Draw - For those gamblers who have lost all of their money. They must have zero dollars to get a ticket for the draw. Of course, it's best NOT to tell people about this draw until later in the evening. Plus if you tell people later in the night they are more willing to bet it all!

Winner's Draw - The winners draw you simply set a 'price' for the tickets to the draw. People can then purchase the tickets with their money. This works great if you have multiple prizes as your guests can then throw their tickets into whatever prize they want to win!

These are three great ways to give out prizes to your guests. The prizes can range from a simple party favor to something bigger like an IPod. If you're hosting a casino night for a graduation or birthday consider getting prize donations for the party!

Decorating your casino party can be one of the funnest and most frustrating things of your casino night. Luckily the internet is a valuable source to find great casino party supplies. The best place that we've found is ShindigZ.com - the World's Largest Party Superstore. The one product that we always recommend is a customized casino night party banner.

The casino night party banners are super high quality vinyl banners of various graphics and sizes. They come with grommets at the corners to avoid ripping and will stay strong for long. However, the best feature that ShindigZ.com has is the "My Party View" software. This software allows you to see exactly what your customized party banner will look like with your message.

To show you two customized banners I created two about this site, CasinoPartySource.com. I personally like the second one much more than the first. This is because the second one has a title message and a sub-title message to follow. This is how most banners should look to maximize the effect of the message.

When organizing your casino night party be sure to order a customized banner from ShindigZ.com as you will truly be pleased with their service and product.

When sending out invitations to your casino night you have two options online invitations or paper invitations. Although online invitations are great because they are faster and don't cause harm to the environment they also have drawbacks that paper invitations overcome.

Paper Invitations are great because they are usually delivered directly to your guests door. This makes it much harder for someone to ignore or simply delete the invitation. As well, the paper invitation really shows the effort and work that is going into this party. This makes your guests take the party a little more seriously. So if you put on the invitation "appropriate attire is necessary" they are sure to take this more seriously.

Here are some sources for paper invitations that you may consider

ShindigZ.com - the World's Largest Party Superstore - They have a wide range of party invitations and some specific to casino themed parties!
