The Basics Of The Casino Game Craps

Craps is probably the most complicated and entertaining game in the casino. If you have Craps at your casino themed party be sure that the 'dealer' has an idea of what they are doing. That being said, craps will definitely be one of the highlights for many of your guests as it's a fun and interactive game with lots of betting, talking and action!

Here are the basics of the game Craps. Please note that there are plenty more rules that could be discussed and included. However, for your casino themed party it is much simpler to stick to only a few rules and easier payouts. Also, be sure to buy a

The game is started by a player putting a bet on the come-out roll. The player rolls the dice and if he rolls a (7 or 11) he/she wins, (2,3 or 11) loses and (4,5,6,8,9 or 10) he/she gets a number. The player then continues to roll until he get the same number again and at that point he/she is a winner.

The game gets interesting in two ways
1) All the other players (although not rolling) they have the same come-out bet. Therefore, when the roller wins everyone wins!
2) Everyone can make additional bets on different numbers and dice combinations.

Here is a brief breakdown of the rules of craps.
Come Out Roll (pay 1-1)
Winner: 7 & 11
Loser: 2, 3 & 12
You get a point (or number): 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10

With a point (or number) (pay 1-1)
Loser: 7
Winner: The point (or number) you are trying to re-roll

Other Bets
Place Bets - You select the number (pay 1-1)
Winner: That number if rolled
Loser: 7

Field Line (pay 1-1)
Winner: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12
Loser: 5, 6, 7, 8

The game of craps sounds complicated and difficult and is actually rather easy. You will find that many people will be interested in playing craps as they've seen it in the casino but didn't want to lose real money playing the game.
